It’s round 16 of the Premier League season, as Chelsea play Everton in a top-seven clash at Stamford Bridge. Everton will leapfrog Chelsea if they win, and the home team wants to keep pace with the top four.

This match will kick off at 3:00 pm on Saturday, 13 December 2025. Referee Thomas Bramall will oversee the action in west London.

Chelsea vs Everton Prediction

I go with the draw at 4.0 (Betway) for my first prediction. Everton are on a good run of five matches without defeat. So, I fancy them to claim a point and extend Chelsea’s record to five games winless.

My alternative prediction is for both teams not to score (1.95 at Bet365), as backed up by recent H2H stats. Also, Chelsea have the joint third-best defence in the top flight. Meanwhile, Everton’s rearguard is top-six rated.

Chelsea occupy fifth place with 25 points after 15 Premiership games (W7 D4 L4), eight points down on league leaders Arsenal. Enzo Maresca’s side has hit 25 goals and conceded 15 for a plus ten goal difference.

After Tuesday’s 2-1 loss at Atalanta in the Champions League, the Blues are now four games without a win. In league action, they lost 3-1 at Leeds in between draws against Bournemouth and Arsenal. However, five wins in six before this rough patch showed their class, including a 3-0 victory over Barcelona.

Maresca will be keen to reverse this latest mini-slump, as Chelsea should welcome back Cole Palmer’s invention and goalscoring threat.

Injuries in the Chelsea camp include Levi Colwill (knee), Romeo Lavia and Dario Essugo (thigh), and Liam Delap (shoulder). Defender Wesley Fofana hopes to recover from an eye injury sustained against Atalanta.

Mykhaylo Mudryk is still suspended. Moises Caicedo completes his three-match suspension for a red card against Arsenal in game week 13.

Player in Focus

Joao Pedro opened the scoring at Atalanta in midweek. Back in November, he bagged goals in wins over Wolves and Tottenham. Whether operating up top or behind a lone striker, Joao Pedro can score a goal past Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford (at odds of 3.30 with Coral).

Everton Analysis

Everton are seventh in the EPL table (W7 D3 L5), a single point behind Chelsea. The Toffees have accrued a plus one goal difference, scoring 18 and leaking 17 across 15 matches.

David Moyes’ side have four wins and one defeat in their last five matches. Everton didn’t concede in any of those victories, including last week’s 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest. That followed up 1-0 victories at Bournemouth and Man United. The only recent setback happened in round 13, as the Toffees suffered a shock 4-1 home loss to Newcastle.

Everton didn’t concede in any of their four recent EPL wins. But their away form is patchy (W3 D1 L3), even if wins at Bournemouth and Man United hinted at some potential. But free-scoring Chelsea could be a different proposition.

The Toffees have injuries to Jarrad Branthwaite and Seamus Coleman (hamstring) and Merlin Rohi (groin).

Despite recent disciplinary concerns, Everton have no suspended players for this game.

Player in Focus

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has impressed behind Everton’s main striker. With three goals in his last four EPL games, he now has four strikes overall. Dewsbury-Hall can score or assist against his old club (4.0 at Bet365).

Chelsea hold a slim H2H lead over Everton with four wins in ten. But all of Everton’s three wins came at home. More recently, Chelsea have two wins in the last five, with two draws and a sole Everton triumph.

The stats show that both teams scored in just two out of ten games, or once in the most recent five matches. Everton haven’t scored in three consecutive matches with Chelsea.

What Channel is Chelsea vs Everton on?

The Saturday 3:00 pm kick-off means this clash is not televised live. However, later on Saturday you can watch highlights on BBC Match of the Day, the Sky Sports app, or via various video-sharing websites.

Goals are unlikely in West London

Chelsea will struggle to beat an in-form Everton team. We could also see both sides struggle to fashion many goals, as David Moyes’ Everton earn a crucial away point at Stamford Bridge.
