Aston Villa face off against Arsenal in matchweek 15 of the 2025-26 English Premier League (EPL) season. Villa look to continue their superb home form, while Arsenal try to extend their lead in the title race. So, it’s all set for Saturday’s exciting top-four battle at Villa Park.

The action will start at 12:30 pm on Saturday, 6th December 2025. Peter Bankes is the match referee.

Match Prediction

Aston Villa’s excellent EPL home form means Arsenal won’t find life easy at Villa Park. Sunderland and Chelsea showed Arsenal’s weaknesses. So, I believe Aston Villa can claim a draw.

In my other surprise prediction, I go for under 2.5 goals at 1.80 (William Hill). Both sides have excellent defensive records. Also, apart from set pieces, Arsenal can sometimes struggle to break teams down. Villa’s strong defensive record could limit the Gunners’ chances.

Aston Villa Latest News & Analysis

Under Unai Emery’s astute leadership, Aston Villa have climbed to third position in the Premier League table with 27 points (W8 D3 L3). They have scored 20 EPL goals (1.42 per game) and share the league’s third-best defensive record, having conceded only 14.

A 4-3 midweek win at Brighton was Villa’s sixth win in a row. Since losing 1-0 at Liverpool on 1st November, Villa have four consecutive EPL wins. This run includes home victories over Bournemouth (4-0) and Wolves (1-0), plus a 2-1 win at Leeds.

An uncertain start to their season saw Villa go winless in their first five league games. But now confidence is surging at Villa Park. They will fancy their chances on Saturday, especially with Arsenal’s defensive injuries.

The only fitness concerns are Tyrone Mings (hamstring) and Ross Barkley (knock), plus no Villa players are suspended.

Player in Focus

Morgan Rogers continues to impress, notching three EPL goals and two assists for Villa so far in 2025/26. His two strikes helped Villa beat Leeds in gameweek 12. You can find odds of 2.37 (Bet365) for Rogers to register a shot on target.

Arsenal Latest News & Analysis

Arsenal are still top of the Premier League with 33 points (W10 D3 L1), five clear of Man City. The Gunners are now unbeaten in 11 EPL games (18 in all competitions) after their 3rd December 2–0 home win over Brentford. Last Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea followed a victory over Bayern Munich and a 4-1 derby win over Tottenham. But in EPL round 11, Sunderland managed to hold Arsenal to a 2-2 draw.

In an outstanding start to the campaign, Arsenal are the EPL’s second top scorers with 27 goals (average 1.92 per game). While the defence has leaked just 7 league goals (0.5 per game).

Arsenal are full of confidence and grinding out results going into a busy December schedule of seven matches. Gunners boss Mikel Arteta faces tough selection choices, especially up front between Viktor Gyokeres and Mikel Merino.

Kai Havertz (knee) and Gabriel Magalhães (thigh) are both ruled out of this weekend’s game. There are also doubts over William Saliba (knock) and Leandro Trossard (ankle). While Christian Mosquera (knock) and Declan Rice (calf) hope to recover after going off injured against Brentford.

The Arsenal first-team squad has no suspended players.

Player in Focus

Bukayo Saka is Arsenal’s top scorer with seven goals in league and cup action, including another strike against Brentford this week. So, Saka could grab a goal (3.80 at Betway).

Villa to dent Arsenal’s title charge

Unai Emery will be desperate to get a result against his former club. Aston Villa can carry the confidence of recent wins into a solid home performance.
