Arsenal take on Chelsea for the third time in 2026, as we enter round 28 of the Premier League (PL) season.
Arsenal versus Chelsea kicks off at 4:30pm on Sunday, 1st March 2026, from the Emirates Stadium. Darren England will referee the action.
Arsenal vs Chelsea Prediction
Arsenal have already defeated Chelsea twice in 2026. I think the Gunners can make it four wins in the last six against the Blues. The odds for Arsenal to win are 1.62.
Both sides scored in 60% of the previous ten H2Hs, so I predict both teams to score (1.80). Arsenal are the PL’s top-scoring team with 58 goals, while Chelsea have hit 48 goals – the league’s joint-third highest total.
Three of ten recent Arsenal-Chelsea matchups had at least four goals, so over 3.5 goals is my left-field pick.
Arsenal Analysis
Arsenal are still top of the PL standings with 61 points after 28 games (W18 D7 L3), five points above Man City, although City have a game in hand.
In mid-February, the Gunners dropped key points in PL draws against Brentford (1-1) and Wolves (2-2). Last Sunday saw a return to form, as Arsenal dismantled Tottenham 4-1. That victory was a third win in five league games, as they strive to outpace Man City and secure a long overdue title triumph.
The Gunners have scored 14 goals in their last five matches, conceding just four times. Confidence is high in the Arsenal camp, as they look forward to the upcoming EFL Cup final and battle for Champions League and FA Cup honours.
Arsenal are without Mikel Merino for several months with a foot injury. Kai Havertz (thigh) and Ben White (knock) are doubtful, and Max Dowman (ankle) remains out. Mikel Arteta’s squad has no suspensions.

Player in Focus
Eberechi Eze has six PL goals this season and bagged two goals in last week’s North London derby win against Tottenham. You can back Eze at 3.50 to score against Chelsea on Sunday.
Chelsea Analysis
Chelsea sit fifth in the PL table on 45 points (W12 D9 L6) from 27 matches, just three points behind fourth-placed Man United.
Liam Rosenior has made a positive start as Chelsea Head Coach. His Blues team boast a W8 D2 L2 record in all competitions (including two EFL Cup semi-final defeats to Arsenal). This run includes three wins from their last five PL games, as they scored 12 goals and conceded seven.
But last weekend, Chelsea conceded a last-ditch equaliser to draw 1-1 with Burnley, after surrendering a two-goal cushion to draw 2-2 with Leeds in round 26. Before those draws, victories over Wolves (3-1), West Ham (3-2), and Crystal Palace (3-1) showed slick football.
The Blues are motivated to claim all three points at the Emirates, as they battle for a top-four place before key upcoming games against Aston Villa and Newcastle.
Chelsea’s injury list includes Levi Colwill (ACL), Dario Essugo (muscle injury), Filip Jorgensen (knock), and hamstring complaints for Marc Cucurella, Estevao, and Jamie Gittens.
Mykhailo Mudryk remains suspended. Wesley Fofana’s red card against Burnley means he misses the trip to Arsenal. That was Chelsea’s ninth red card this season, including six PL dismissals.

Player in Focus
Joao Pedro is Chelsea’s top PL scorer with 11 goals. Can the Portugal frontman score for the third consecutive league match? Joao Pedro is available at odds of 4.50 (Betway) to score against Arsenal.
