Mega Casino UK Review

This Mega Casino review gives you a complete overview of what to expect from this UK-licensed online casino. Operated by SkillOnNet, Mega Casino is a legitimate and long-running platform offering a wide range of games and promotions. On this page, we will cover things like bonuses, payment methods, mobile apps, customer support, and site usability. We will also examine the two available welcome offers, a £25 + 50 FS bonus or 125 free spins.

Is Mega Casino Right for You?

Mega Casino is suitable for players who want access to a long list of slots from leading developers and a top live casino. There is also a range of promotions for existing customers, although they vary in quality. The degree of choice at Mega Casino may appeal to experienced players seeking something new from their gaming experience. However, it is not the best choice for beginners due to the dated platform and challenging bonus wagering terms.

Mega Casino is great for:

• Players who enjoy a large variety of slots and scratch cards.
• Users who like access to varied promotions and mystery prizes.
• Fans of live casino action.
• Players who want access to useful responsible gambling tools.

Mega Casino may not be ideal if:

• You want a high-performing platform with a sleek, stylish design.
• You want a casino offering generous promotions.
• You value having 24/7 access to quality customer support.

About Mega Casino UK

Mega Casino UK began operating in 2013 and claims to be ‘one of the most popular casino brands in the UK’. Despite the bold claim, the site maintains quite a small player base, especially given how old it is. SkillOnNet owns and operates Mega Casino alongside numerous other gaming sites.

SkillOnNet has earned much respect within the online gambling sector during its 20+ year history. They have won, or been shortlisted, for several industry awards. Most of these came a few years ago, mind you.

Welcome Bonus & Promotions

New UK players at Mega Casino can select from two different welcome offers. These Mega Casino welcome offers provide bonus cash or free spins following a first deposit. To find out which offer is best, take a look at the section below. Mega Casino also features a wide selection of promotions for active customers, although their quality is mixed.

Mega Casino Welcome Bonus: Up to £25 + 50 FS or 125 Free Spins

Mega Casino UK provides new customers with a 100% matched bonus up to £25 + 50 Free Spins. The bonus amount comes with a 10x wagering requirement (WR). Only slot games count fully towards clearing this. Each free spin is valued at £0.10. Players receive this offer by default when making their first deposit. You do not need to add a Mega Casino bonus code.

Alternatively, new players can receive 125 Mega Casino free spins instead. Enter the Mega Casino bonus code 125MEGA during your first deposit to activate this offer. These spins, worth £0.10 each, are for use on Big Bass Bonanza. Free spin winnings must be wagered 10x before withdrawal. Standard wagering terms apply, such as a max bet limit (£5 or 10% of bonus, whichever is lower).

I made a £25 deposit with my debit card to activate the welcome offer, and the bonus and free spins appeared immediately. I won £4 from the 50 free spins, then played through the bonus over the next two days but didn’t manage to complete the wagering as I lost all my bonus funds. The offer was easy to activate, although the £25 maximum bonus felt fairly limited.

Promotions for Existing Customers

Mega Casino has various promotions for returning players. The daily picks section shows active deals and upcoming offers. Not everything you find here counts as a genuine promotion, though. Some just highlight game features while others provide minimal value to players. Take the insurance policy for one example. Players receive five free spins worth £0.10 each for every £25 in losses. Some worthwhile offers exist within daily picks, but Mega Casino does not rank among the most generous operators for promos.

The site does, however, reward customer loyalty through its levels program. Players earn points from real money wagers, and each point brings them closer to the next level. When reaching a new level, players unlock a mystery reward. An invitation-only VIP scheme also exists, featuring exclusive tournaments, birthday presents, and enhanced daily promotions. The program lacks specific details, though, making it hard to assess its true value.

Mega Casino Tournaments

Mega Casino runs daily tournaments that bring a competitive element to standard gameplay. The tournaments page displays all active and future competitions. Joining a tournament is straightforward: opt in and play the eligible game(s) within the qualification window. Prize pools are often on the smaller side due to the limited player base. Prizes of just £100 are typical. However, fewer competitors mean you have a better chance of finishing higher up the leaderboards.

Tournament entry varies by event. Some competitions have free entry, but others require a buy in, usually £1. Buy-in requirements for slot tournaments are uncommon in the industry. Mega Casino also run free tournaments, but these require players to have made a deposit within the last three days.

How to Register at Mega Casino UK

If you are a member of any Mega Casino sister site, you can use a shorter registration process. Otherwise, you will need to complete a full sign-up following these steps:

1. Select the ‘Join Now’ button in the top right corner of the homepage.
2. Provide your mobile number and date of birth.
3. Fill in your full name, email address, and gender.
4. Enter your home address.
5. Create a username and password, then create any deposit limits.
6. Accept the terms and conditions, choose your marketing preferences, and click ‘Go Play’.
7. Finally, select how Mega Casino may contact you and then hit the ‘Submit’ button.

The site will request mobile verification after you create your account. You will receive a four-digit PIN via text. Enter this code to complete the verification process and activate your account.

Account Verification

Mega Casino runs identity checks once you complete account registration. The system may be unable to verify your details in some cases. When this happens, you must finish verification before making any deposits.

This is standard at online casinos as part of the Know Your Customer regulations. This process requires two types of documentation. First, provide proof of identity such as a passport, driving licence, or national ID card. Second, submit a proof of address document like a utility bill, tenancy agreement, or bank statement.

Document uploads happen through the Mega Casino website via their third-party platform. The verification team typically reviews submitted documents within 12 hours, but it can take up to two days.

I went through the registration process and found the initial form straightforward to complete. My details were checked as part of the verification process, and the overall sign-up experience was fairly simple without unnecessary steps.

Mega Casino login

Here is a simple summary of the Mega Casino UK login process:

1. Select the ‘Log In’ button, located in the top right corner of the Mega Casino homepage.
2. Add your username or registered email address in the top box.
3. Enter your account password underneath.
4. Hit the ‘Login’ button below.

On the Mega Casino app, you can log in using Touch ID after your first time. If you forget your Mega Casino login details, you can reset it by selecting the ‘forgot your password’ link and using your email or phone number.

Mega Casino Games Variety

The game library at Mega Casino contains over 7,000 titles from more than 70 software providers. The collection features popular developers such as Pragmatic Play, Play’n Go, Hacksaw Gaming, NetEnt and Games Global. Players have access to slots, table games, video poker, bingo, slingo, scratchcards, and crash games across the platform.

Each game features an overview page showing useful information like stake limits, software developer, and user star ratings. Play statistics also appear, showing recent usage stats and the biggest win. The site identifies hot and cold games based on recent payout rates. Hot games show higher player returns, while cold games indicate lower net payouts.

Slots

Mega Casino provides well over 6,000 slot games, including Megaways, Drops & Wins, jackpots and classic games. The slots library features titles from popular series, for example, Big Bass, as well as names you will never have seen before. It is regularly updated with the latest titles, rather than relying on old favourites.

Categories like ‘trending’ and ‘new’ help organise the collection, but filtering options remain limited. Beginners may struggle to search for games without having filtering options like theme, volatility level, or features. Despite this, Mega Casino still deserves plenty of credit for its extensive slot collection.

Table Games

Mega Casino provides a decent selection of non-live roulette and blackjack games within its ‘casino games’ section. Players can explore various styles and stake limits across both of these two favourites. Other card games that appear in the ‘casino games’ collection include baccarat, dragon tiger, and stud poker. However, there are very few of these, as non-live table game options outside blackjack and roulette are not a big focus. Players seeking card games are much better served at Mega’s live casino.

Scratch Cards

Access the scratchcard section by selecting ‘More’ from the game categories menu, then choose ‘Instants’. Mega Casino stocks a substantial scratchcard library with over 50 different titles available. The selection includes familiar names such as Fishin’ Frenzy, Age of the Gods and Blitz! No matter which game you pick, these instant-win games deliver quick, straightforward gameplay without complex rules or strategies.

Video Poker

On the ‘Instants’ page, there is also a section for video poker, as well as scratch cards. Selecting this will reveal 10 video poker games powered by GVG software. The solid selection includes classic variants such as Aces & Faces, Jacks or Better, Joker Poker, and Deuces Wild. This range ensures poker enthusiasts will find enough variety to enjoy strategic card play with high RTP percentages.

Live Casino Games

The live casino at Mega Casino sources games from three leading software providers: Evolution, Playtech, and Pragmatic Play. These developers deliver high-definition video streams, whether you are playing traditional casino games or online exclusives. Players can access numerous roulette and blackjack variants alongside baccarat, sic bo, dragon tiger, craps, and poker options. There is really no shortage of choice when it comes to classic games.

The live game collection also features unique game-show formats and lottery-style games. Many of these have proven extremely popular given their focus on entertainment and simple betting. Most allow users to take part with small stakes, making them a great option for beginners. Especially as you can often land big wins too.

I spent time exploring Mega Casino’s lobby and played several slots, table games and live casino titles. The large selection was impressive, and the search and filtering tools made it easier to find specific games. However, the overall interface felt somewhat dated compared with some of the newer UK casino sites.

Mobile App & Desktop Experience

Mega Casino provides dedicated mobile apps for iOS and Android in addition to its desktop site. Both the desktop and mobile platforms are usable, but they look dated and have a performance to match. There are no cutting-edge or personalisation features, and you may occasionally run into the occasional bug. One known issue is that sometimes the application form does not load on the first try. If this happens to you, try opening it in another browser.

Mega Casino Mobile App

Mega Casino offers mobile apps for iOS and Android devices through the App Store and Google Play. The iOS version holds a strong 4 star score based on just 130+ user ratings. The Android application performs even better with a 4.6 star rating and 50,000+ downloads. That said, it basically acts as a browser shortcut rather than a true native application.

Both apps support Touch ID login and deliver push notifications for promotional offers. Beyond these features, the apps lack mobile-specific enhancements, and performance can be inconsistent.

Davey Hanson

I tested Mega Casino on mobile by downloading it to my iPhone 16 and found the app easy enough to navigate between the lobby, games and account sections. The layout is functional, although it feels more basic than some of the newer casino apps I have tested.

Desktop Platform

The desktop platform at Mega Casino delivers a workable layout. However, browsing the huge game collection takes more time than it should. Moreover, sometimes games find themselves in the wrong categories, and the search function shows unrelated results.

Positive features include helpful filtering tools that sort games by software provider, game type, or user rating. These options make narrowing down the huge choice a little easier when searching for something new. Overall, the desktop site offers slightly better performance compared to the mobile platform, but both require a modern makeover.

Mega Casino Deposits and Withdrawals

UK players at Mega Casino can choose from multiple payment options, including PayPal, debit card, Apple Pay, Trustly, and bank transfer. Most methods set a £10 minimum for both deposits and withdrawals with no transaction fees applied. Bank wire transfers are the exception as they come with a minimum £50 withdrawal amount and £10 charge if the amount is under £500.

Due to anti-money laundering rules, the casino requires players to use the same withdrawal method as their deposit method when possible.

How to Make a Deposit

Making a deposit at Mega Casino takes just a few simple steps. The process works as follows:

1. Log in to your Mega Casino online account.
2. Select the ‘Deposit’ button.
3. Choose your preferred payment method.
4. For card payments, enter your debit card details.
5. Input how much you want to deposit and add any promo code.
6. Confirm and submit the transaction.

Some payment methods require approval in a separate browser window after submission. Deposited funds usually show in your casino balance immediately.

How To Make a Withdrawal

Withdrawing funds from your Mega Casino UK account follows this simple process:

1. Sign in to your account using either desktop or mobile.
2. Open the main navigation menu by clicking the three-bar icon.
3. Select ‘Cashier’ from the menu options, then choose ‘Withdraw’.
4. Pick your preferred withdrawal method.
5. Enter the amount you want to withdraw.
6. Review the details and confirm the transaction.

Withdrawal requests become final once submitted and have no cancellation window. Mega Casino typically approves withdrawal requests within a few hours.

After playing at the casino for over a month I decided to withdraw the £60 I won using the same card I had used to make the deposit. The withdrawal was approved quickly, and the £60 reached my bank account two days later. The process was straightforward, from requesting the withdrawal to receiving the money.

Customer Support

Mega Casino provides customer support through live chat and email at support@megacasino.com. Live chat operates between 06:00 and 00:00 GMT daily. The system initially connects players to an automated chatbot, though you can request a human agent with some time and effort.

Email support operates relatively quickly, with most replies arriving within a couple of hours. Staff are friendly, but responses sometimes rely on templated answers that may not address specific issues. There can occasionally be a slight language barrier too, as the customer support team operates from outside the UK.

The website also includes an FAQ section covering some common questions, although the quality of answers is mixed.

Davey Hanson

I contacted Mega Casino’s live chat on a Friday evening to clarify a couple of welcome-offer terms and specifically test the response time during a busy period. I was first connected to a chatbot, then transferred to a real agent within a few minutes. The agent explained the terms clearly, and I was impressed by how quickly I received a response.

Security, Licensing & Fairness

Mega Casino operates under a UK Gambling Commission licence, allowing it to legally operate in the UK. The site uses standard encryption technology to protect player data, but does not go into detail about active security measures. The casino shows random number generator fairness through an independent certificate from iTech Labs. However, this certificate was published back in 2019, so it would be reassuring to see a newer version. Nonetheless, we have little doubt that Mega Casino is safe, fair and secure.

What Real Users Are Saying About Mega Casino

Mega Casino holds a 3.3 star rating on Trustpilot based on over 1600 customer reviews. Almost 40% of these Mega Casino reviews award just one star. Negative feedback highlights problems with payment processing and customer support experiences. Positive reviews typically come from winners who successfully withdrew their funds without complications. There is less praise of specific elements of Mega Casino.

Although the overall rating is not the best, low scores are common across legitimate online casino sites. Such platforms often attract complaints about ‘rigged’ games when players suffer a losing streak. In most cases, these are simply instances of bad luck rather than actual unfairness. Moreover, it is normal for satisfied customers not to leave reviews, with only those who are unhappy taking the time to bother.

Responsible Gambling Tools

Mega Casino offers several tools to support responsible gambling. The excellent ‘Safe Mate’ feature allows players to monitor win and loss records, total playing days, and session lengths. Users can check their data over the past 7, 30, 90 or 180 days. The site also provides standard responsible gambling controls. This includes reality checks, deposit limits and self-exclusion options for those needing a break.

Mega Casino participates in the GamStop scheme, enabling UK players to self-exclude across all registered British gambling operators.

Mega Casino vs Competitors

Major betting operators such as Betway and Coral offer casino games alongside sports betting. Mega Casino takes a more narrow approach by focusing exclusively on casino games. Multi-product sites usually emphasise their sports betting sections while still offering separate casino welcome offers. These promotions often come with better terms, including much lower wagering requirements, if any at all.

Mega Casino maintains one significant edge over these hybrid competitors: game selection. With more than 7,000 titles available, it boasts a much bigger range of games and software providers. As for comparing Mega Casino with casino-exclusive sites, many rivals provide a better user experience through superior design and more modern, streamlined mobile apps.

Key Takeaways

Mega Casino has some redeeming features like its impressive library of over 7,000 games, strong live casino and rewards for regular players. It also supports a solid range of payment options and processes most withdrawals quickly. Despite these positives, Mega Casino also has several significant weaknesses that reduce its appeal, and better options exist for most UK players.
