Salford City to win
1.34 | ||
After suffering a 0-2 defeat away to Manchester City in the FA Cup, Salford returns to league action, where it remains in contention for the top spots. The team stumbled in the last round but now faces what appears to be an easier task. This season, they have only experienced back-to-back losses once, and that was away from home; they typically bounce back to winning ways, and the current circumstances suggest they will do so again. Newport at the bottomNewport currently sits at the bottom of the table, having won only 5 out of 31 matches so far, primarily suffering defeats. They are also on a poor run of away losses, having lost their last six matches on the road. Their last away victory was in October, against Harrogate, who are second from the bottom. Prediction: Salford to winAll indicators point towards a victory for Salford, and it is no surprise that the odds for this outcome are not high.

Tranmere Ends Their Losing Streak Tranmere has fallen to 17th place after suffering six consecutive defeats in the league. They halted this run with a 2-0 victory at home against Crawley in their latest match, with Crawley sitting at 20th in the standings. This marked Tranmere's fourth home win of the season out of a total of 16 home matches so far, and they have yet to achieve back-to-back home victories in the league. Akrington is currently in 13th place and has shown some improvement recently. After three consecutive wins, they narrowly lost 0-1 away to Grimsby in their last game. However, they have only two losses in their last nine matches and are certainly no longer the easy opponent they were earlier in the season. Prediction: X2 Double ChanceTranmere has been struggling overall and remains quite inconsistent, even at home. Akrington has made more progress recently compared to the two teams, and it would be worth considering that the visitors may not lose this match.

Milton Keynes Dons to win

MK Dons currently occupies fifth place and continues its pursuit of promotion to League 1. The team is in solid form, remaining unbeaten in the last seven matches, with five victories in that span. Since September, they have not suffered a home defeat in the league and are currently on a run of three consecutive home wins, although the last two were narrow 1-0 victories. Crawley has once again entered a losing streakRecently, Crawley managed to earn a few points, but they have now reverted to a series of losses, currently standing with three consecutive defeats without scoring a goal. This keeps them perilously close to the relegation zone, sitting just above it in 22nd place. They have secured two away wins since the start of the season, but these were against teams positioned 20th or lower in the table. Prediction: MK Dons to winIt certainly appears that MK Dons is well-placed to secure victory in this home match as they aim for promotion against Crawley, who are primarily focused on avoiding relegation.

Crew has climbed to seventh place and entered the playoff zone. They have lost only once in their last nine matches, and that was by a narrow margin away from home. Since October, they have not suffered a home defeat in the league, with their only loss being a close one to the leaders, Bromley. Currently, they are on a run of three consecutive home victories. Fleetwood has recorded several losses recentlyFleetwood is sitting in fifteenth place and has been struggling lately. They have won only one of their last 11 matches across all competitions – that victory came against second-from-bottom Harrogate, and within that tally, Fleetwood has suffered eight defeats. Prediction: Crew to winCrew is clearly performing better than Fleetwood, and it seems likely that the victory in this match will go to the home side.

A manageable challenge for the leaders Bromley remains at the top of the table with a four-point lead. They are unbeaten in their last 13 matches, winning 10 of those. Bromley is also the only team yet to lose at home in the league, although they have drawn their last two home games. However, they now face a considerably more manageable opponent. There has not been a home match without a goal scored, and in 14 out of their 15 home games, they have found the net at least twice. Cheltenham sits in 18th place and has primarily been registering losses lately. There was a brief period of improvement, but that has passed, and they have started to decline again. At least they managed to secure a point from their visit to Barnet in the last round, but that is their only point from the last five matches. Prediction: a win for Bromley and over 1.5 goalsBromley continues to perform strongly overall, while Cheltenham is struggling. The prospects for a home victory here are definitely present.

Predictions League Two
- 21
Fleetwood TownOur League 2 predictions page does what it says on the tin. You will find a range of League Two betting tips, odds and football predictions. These tips cover a range of markets. Additionally, we provide information on how to place bets, the best bookies for League 2 and offers and promotions available for the fourth tier of English football.
When Are League 2 Predictions Available?
We usually publish our English League 2 predictions 24-48 hours before kick-off. In our opinion, this strikes the right balance between providing early information to maximise value while also allowing for clearer details of team selection.
What Betting Predictions Are Available for League 2?
We offer everything from League 2 table predictions to match results. Match results are our focus, though we also publish League 2 score predictions. Generally, we cover a wide range of markets, including any bets we believe offer value. This includes markets such as BTTS, over/under, correct score and more.
Our expert tipsters examine a wide range of stats and data sources. This allows our EFL League 2 predictions to be as accurate as possible. However, as with all betting tips, you should understand that even excellent tips do not guarantee you success.
League 2 Predictions Table for the 2025/2026 Season
Here you can see the predictions our experts have made for the 2025/26 season. This is how we think the table will finish at the end of the season. You can use this information to decide what bets you want to place.
All the great football bookies we feature at Nostrabet have a good selection of outright betting markets. You will find League 2 promotion odds, as well as odds for the title, relegation, top goalscorer and more.
League 2 Promotion Predictions
Making League 2 Promotion predictions is exceedingly tough. The fourth tier of English football is ultra-competitive. Indeed, almost every team in League 2 will feel they could go up. That is partly because four teams are promoted each season. Moreover, seventh place is enough to make the play-offs and at least give a club a chance.
However, tough as it is, our (England) League Two prediction is that Chesterfield, Grimsby and Notts County offer the best value in terms of automatic promotion. MK Dons will obviously be in the mix, but we feel there is better value in those three. Grimsby are a bit of a dark horse, but they look good under David Artell, who almost took them to the play-offs last term. Equally, the Spireites can follow Wrexham and others when landing back-to-back promotions. Paul Cook is doing a fine job with Chesterfield, and they can ride their momentum into League 1.
League 2 Playoff Predictions
In terms of our play-off predictions, there is every chance that one or more of the four clubs named above could end up between fourth and seventh. However, if the three automatic promotion spots are tough to call, nailing the four play-off teams is extremely difficult.
There really are so many League Two clubs that could overperform and cause a surprise. However, of the other 20 teams in the league, Swindon, Bristol Rovers and Salford City all look very interesting. The latter in particular offers good value for a top-seven finish.League 2 Relegation Battle Predictions
Things are also very hard to predict at the other end of the table. Teams like Shrewsbury, who were woeful in League 1 last term, could struggle if they suffer a bad start. The same can be said for Cheltenham, which ended the 2024/25 campaign very badly.
However, in our opinion, the three teams that the bookies think will go down all look like good bets to stay up. Newport are not as bad as some think, while Harrogate are really well run and are now very established in League 2. Similarly, Accrington look too short in the market.
Top Scorer & Golden Boot Betting Tips
When it comes to the top goalscorer market, if our faith in Grimsby is correct, their new boy Jaze Kabia could be the man to watch. He will be taking penalties for the Mariners, and last term’s League Two Golden Boot winner, Michael Cheek, notched nine of them for Bromley.
Colchester’s Kyreece Lisbie is a dark horse priced at very long odds but could do well, and looks set to play at a higher level before too long. For a more conventional choice, backing Cheek again isn’t the worst call. Equally, the chant-inspiring Will Grigg should score plenty, despite being 34.
Best UK Betting Sites for League Two Odds
At Nostrabet, we work with all the best UK bookmakers. Any of these is an excellent option to back our League 2 predictions and tips. However, Betway and Betfred are particularly good. They both have strong odds, good offers and a wide choice of markets.
League 2 receives a little less coverage than bigger competitions such as the Premier League or La Liga. Nevertheless, many UK football specialists still offer lots of great features for League 2, in addition to all the different markets you want. You can check out our opinion of all the top sites in our bookie review pages.

UK Bonuses and Offers for Betting on League 2 Matches
Top bookmakers provide lots of different betting offers for their customers. The biggest events, such as the Champions League or the World Cup, will always generate the most promotions. However, almost all welcome free bets or bonuses can be claimed and used on League 2.
There are also many promos for current customers that can be applied to League 2 games. Odds boosts, enhanced acca payouts, money back deals, early payouts, substitute offers and more are often available for the fourth tier. Using such promotions alongside our League 2 predictions gives you an even greater chance of beating the bookies!
League 2 Betting Tips & Expert Strategies
Betting on League 2 is very similar to betting on anything else. Understanding the sport and competition, and doing your research, are vital. However, because leagues like the Premier League generate millions of bets globally, bookies have to make sure their prices are very accurate.
In contrast, far fewer people bet on League 2, so oddsmakers know that any errors they make will not be so costly. It is therefore easier for a dedicated fan of League 2 to uncover value and even have a better understanding of the division than the bookies.
It is still very hard to get the better of the bookies. Indeed, many punters prefer to simply follow our League Two predictions. Obviously, our tips do not guarantee that you will win. However, betting is primarily about fun, and our predictions should certainly give you a good run for your money!
If you want to come up with your own bets, there are so many stats you should consider. One interesting wager concerns late goals, with League 2 recording almost 24% of all goals in the last 15 minutes of the game last term. Punters who like betting on the draw should certainly consider 1-1 too. More games ended 1-1 last season than any other score. Indeed, that has been the case for each of the last three seasons.
